Baytown, Texas (January 30, 2012) - Royal Purple Raceway is proud to announce that Brian Evans has joined the sales and marketing team. Evans has an extensive background in sales and marketing success most recently as the VP of Sales and Marketing for one of Royal Purple Raceway’s most successful series, the American Drag Racing League (ADRL).

Seth Angel, VP and GM of Royal Purple Raceway said “When I heard that there was an opportunity to make Brian a part of our team, I called him, and made him and offer he couldn’t refuse. Brian is one of those guys who can put together major sponsorship deals one minute, and the next be parking race teams and greeting spectators. His motor sports experience and working relationships are a tremendous asset that will help us take our events to the next level”.

Evans duties will include marketing of current inventory, creating new inventory, developing community activations, and assisting with operations. “This is an industry I love”, said Evans. “I have devoted a great deal of my professional live to motor sports. It’s not just the racing that I enjoy, it is the feeling you get after you have put on an event that resulted in an exceptional experience for thousands of fans. There is nothing better than bringing fans, sponsors and participants together for a great event. And I’ve been a part of that here in Baytown and look forward to enjoying that success over and over again.”

Royal Purple Raceway’s season begins with the NHRA Texas Sportsman Challenge, March 2-4, and is followed by Fun Ford Weekend, the ADRL's Dragapalooza, and the O’Reilly Auto Parts NHRA Spring Nationals.
